While waiting for the launch of the new site, here is a short recollection of the Aday.org project on May 15 2012. The full site will be released at the beginning of July.
Extended deadline: May 24, 23:59
Many of you have asked for more time to upload photos. You now have two more days to finish.
First pictures preview
Rising before dawn, Anoop Nayak took a proud picture of his new house near Karkala, India. An Australian father, Tim Wimborne, leaving on assignment to Afghanistan pictured his four-year-old son’s sleeping toes. A dedicated breakfast cupboard in Clifton Hill, Christchurch, New Zealand, prepares for the family to rise and shine. Dad Andrew Alumine got there first. In the My View category, Sahar Arjmandi shared her home near Tehran, Iran. Eric Rechsteiner snapped unusually calm early morning traffic in Tokyo. Peter Blakely watched decontamination workers change from protective clothing in IItate Fukushima, a farming community not far from the devastated Daiichi nuclear power complex. In Sweden, Valter Turesson was caught by his dad Roger Turesson wolfing a snack while installing Diablo 3 just after its eagerly awaited release at midnight.
