Road to Brandfort On May 15, 2012 I traveled between Kimberley in the Northern Cape and Brandfort in the Free State. My camera had been stolen some weeks earlier out of my vehicle in Mthatha. So all I had was an iPhone. I decided to use the Hipstamatic and set it on random and "change equipment" before every shot. There were moments where the "equiment" refused to change, but mostly it did. Mielie (corn) fields in flat country in the Free State in the late afternoon sun beside the R703 to Ikgomotseng.
Road to Brandfort On May 15, 2012 I traveled between Kimberley in the Northern Cape and Brandfort in the Free State. My camera had been stolen some weeks earlier out of my vehicle in Mthatha. There were moments where the "equiment" refused to change, but mostly it did. A boy has his portrait taken on the R703 dust road that leads to Ikgomotseng. Their Reconstruction and Development Programme (RDP) houses are in the background. Typical of a South African township it is situated some kilometres outside town - in this case the town of Dealesville.
