It was early morning at 7:00 AM that I decided to take a bus so that I capture the art of the bus in detail.
The owner of the bus spent a considerable amount in customizing and decorating his bus reason being the Pakistani tradition that dates back centuries.
15th May, 2011 was a day that brought a new challenge to me to demonstrate my keenness towards photography. For this reason, I choose to go forward with the theme “Commute” as Pakistani buses have always inspired me. This is the exterior of the bus which has been painted very beautifully.
The owner of the bus spent a considerable amount in customizing and decorating his bus reason being the Pakistani tradition that dates back centuries. The bus driver stated that although the decorative process is highly expensive but the bus owners would pay a lot of attention into this art. Right after the bus is purchased, the owner takes it to a local Pakistani workshop where the bus is ornamented. From design style to structural changes, the calligraphy, painting and ornamental detail is given a lot of attention.
To enhance the beauty of the bus from the inside, these decoration pieces were added.
